Rental Uniform Service Receives Environmental Award
Statesville, NC November 2005 — Rental Uniform Service, Inc., located in Statesville, NC received the 2005 PACE (Positive Achievement Concerning Environmental Excellence) Award from the City of Statesville.
The PACE Award is presented annually, by Statesville’s Water Resources division to a significant industrial user that has both shown consistent compliance and cooperation or has shown improvement through modification or additional pretreatment measures.
The Award was presented to Rental Uniform Service’s CEO Danny Lawrence at the November 21st Statesville City Council meeting. When asked for a few words regarding Rental Uniform’s success, Lawrence said, “Our family’s business has been a part of this community for over 40 years and we take a great deal of pride in making it better. We have made significant investments in our facility and in hiring quality local employees. Our General Manager, Tom Harwell, was tasked with implementing a project to further improve the way we manage our water resources. Tom led our team to develop and operate a state of the art waste water treatment plant on-site. We have always made an effort to partner with the city to manage resources effectively and we feel that our investment in this new facility is beneficial to the environment, our company, our community and the city.”
